INSPIRATIONS

My childhood memories are always surrounded by trees.

They walk through it with their families, their pet dogs and their horses.

When I first decided I wanted to create a sculpture, I wanted to carve it out of wood.

There was no reason for it, just that the tree was nice.

Although I tried making horses out of various materials when I entered university, I found that wood suited him best.

Whether sharpening a blade or using a saw, every moment is exciting.

In undergraduate studies, students used fragrant camphor wood in their work, while in graduate school they started using cypress and kaya.

It was only after studying Buddhist statue restoration that I learned that camphor, cypress, and kaya have long been used to make Japanese Buddhist statues.
